In de omgeving - In the area

Pylos (Pilos) is a cozy idyllic harbor town in the north of the bay of Navarino, 16 km from Villa FINIKI.

The center is a magnet for various surrounding village residents.
There is a lot of variation in the shops in the center and the surrounding streets.
The square in the center is called Platia ton Trion Navarchon and is bordered by neoclassical houses. There is also an obelisk on the square that commemorates the three winners of Navarino.

Between Pylos and Gialova lie the Costa Navarino golf courses , with a beautiful location in the green and by the sea. At Pylos, in the direction of Methoni , lies the impressive Castle of Pylos, the Neokastro .

There is a small archaeological museum with, among other things, beautifully polished hand axes from prehistory and a magnificent glass bowl from Roman times.

In the harbor next to the town hall is the house of Kostis Tsiklitiras,
