Methoni is a historic town in the southwest of the department of Messinia,
it has a pleasant village center and is located between Finikounda and Pylos.
Here you will find one of the most impressive Venetian castles from the Middle Ages.
But there is so much more to discover! We take you on a journey of discovery to these hidden gems.

During this 14 km walk, we will take you on a journey of discovery through the hidden treasures of Methoni.
We start at the beach, walk past the castle of Methoni, and via the coastal route to the catacombs of Saint Onoufrios.
We pass beautiful churches, a ruin of an old monastery and take a break at a church with a beautiful view over Methoni.
Then we walk down again into the village of Methoni, walk along picturesque streets, 2 churches and the Kapodistrian school.
To finish, you can have a drink at the square of Methoni or take a dip in the fresh sea water.

The meeting point is in Methoni, at the parking lot at the beach.
